What is an Escape Room?
An “escape room” is a fun proposal for groups, friends and family where you have to play as a team, solving an enigma, mystery, riddle, puzzle or overcoming physical tests, all under the pretext of a limited time “to escape”, which is usually 60 or 120 minutes.
In these games for all ages and group sizes, intelligence, observation skills and teamwork are put to the test.
Escape Rooms in Malaga city
EscaPark
Locked in a mysterious room, you and your team of 2 to 6 players will have 60 minutes to reveal its secrets and solve wacky and ingenious puzzles in order to escape.
Escapark has 3 different scenarios: A Harry Potter inspired escape room (players aged 14+), a Parallel Dimension escape room (ages 12+) and a Witches escape room (ages 12+). Ideal for the whole family.

The X-Door
This escape room located right in the centre of Malaga has no scares or surprises of any kind, and there is no need to make any physical effort, as the game does not require the use of strength or agility. Nor do you need any cultural knowledge of any kind or be a master of mathematics. All you need is a great desire to have fun, a great capacity for observation, intuition, creativity and, above all, teamwork.
The difficulty has been set for ages 16 and up, but their website states that they have been visited by many families with children as young as 8, 9, 10 years old, who have all had a great time. Of the 3 games, one of them is also available in a portable version.
It is not necessary to understand or speak Spanish to play. However, before you start playing, the game master will give some very important instructions and rules of the game, so at least one of the people in your group must understand Spanish or English.
D20 Escape Game
In addition to the on-site room, this escape room offers a different type of portable game that can be played in any space, indoors or outdoors, ideal for birthdays or team building where larger groups can participate. There are also specific games for children.
The games are designed in English and Spanish, although they could be played in practically any language, because the clues are provided in pictures. But it is advisable to be fluent in one of these two languages, in order to be able to communicate easily with the Game Master.
Escape Málaga
This is another escape room located in the centre of Malaga with public parking 20 metres away, with a multitude of games without any surprises.
All games are available in English.
Tempus60
You have 60 minutes to gather clues to escape from one of the 3 possible scenarios (The Antidote, Imminent Detonation, Classroom of Crime).
There is also a portable escape room for home for players aged 8 and over.
Parapark Escape Room
For groups of 2 to 7 players, this escape room is a challenge to test your senses, solve an important police case, live a movie adventure, visit a mysterious mansion, belong to a Mafia family or be a high-ranking military officer in search of a lost plane. The game lasts 60 minutes.
It is not necessary to speak Spanish to play, the rules can be explained in Spanish or English. From 9 years old.
Gabinete Escarlata
A new Escape Room in Malaga recreating a dystopian Malaga with elements of mystery and tension, Steampunk and Victorian era. This is promising.
From 2 to 6 players, game time is 80 minutes.
La Casa de las Habitaciones Málaga
Located in the centre of Malaga, 10 minutes’ walk from the Maria Zambrano train station. It has three escape rooms with a duration of 60 and 75 minutes (Druids and Dungeons, The Robbery and Death Penalty).
All rooms can be played in English and Spanish.

Torre del Mar – Torrenígma
This escape room is different from the others in that their adventures are 100% original and exclusive, as they are devised by themselves and have a level above the average for this type of game. A real challenge!
Currently there are 3 escape rooms of different difficulty and duration, mystery and action.

Fuengirola – Planet Escape
It offers two rooms with such disparate themes as a western town where you have to infiltrate the office of a corrupt sheriff and a galactic mission to the hidden moon of Jupiter to retrieve a valuable energy source.

Benalmádena – Prison Island
Located in the Puerto Marina shopping centre in Benalmádena, Prison Island has 21 cells and each one has a challenge you have to overcome. This is what sets this escape room apart from the rest: instead of being locked in a single space, you have a set time to solve as many cells as you can.
The challenges are designed for teams of 3 to 4 people. If the groups are larger, they split up and compete against each other.
Recommended for ages 14 and up. Approximate duration between 1 and 2 hours.

Marbella – Signum Escape Room
Three escape scenarios are available for a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 players. The minimum age for access to the games is 8 years old, although the difficulty of the games has been established for ages 14 and up.
Children under the age of 8 will have a tutor-guided mode of the game.
Also available in English.
Marbella – Arkham Escape Room
This escape room offers two escape adventures lasting 90 minutes. And it also has theme nights that will be held during a lunch, snack or dinner. On a theme night you and your friends will immerse yourselves in the skin of a character with a different life.
During the evening may occur a murder, a kidnapping, or you even might find yourself trapped in a room.

Estepona – Signum Escape Room
Three escape scenarios are available for a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 players. The minimum age for access to the games is 8 years old, although the difficulty of the games has been established for ages 14 and up.

Outdoor Escape rooms Malaga
The outdoor games are related to the city, with its streets, monuments and other intricacies helping you to solve the mission.
In addition, the game is based on the constant geolocation of your gaming device so that you know that you are solving each test correctly.
Playday Malaga
The games in this Malaga escape room located in the historic centre of Malaga combine classic treasure hunts, GPS-Geocaching and live Escape Games with Augmented Reality Technology. You have to save the world in 120 minutes.
There is a time limit, you have to pass through all the checkpoints and solve the riddles, wandering around Malaga solving enigmas and visiting beautiful corners of the city. Super fun and exciting to do with family or friends.

Escape City Box Málaga y Marbella
This franchise available in many cities is an Urban Escape Room played on the streets. Through the mobile app and thanks to the material included in the box, players will have to catch the Mask Killer before it’s too late or recover the Spear of Destiny in an epic adventure.
It is a live and interactive game in which you will have to complete a city tour, discovering places of tourist and cultural interest in Malaga or Marbella, while solving evidence of a fictitious plot.

Themed evenings – Dinner with Murder
A great fun proposal is the Dinner with Murder: Immersive experiences in which you have to solve a crime while enjoying a themed dinner. Each participant takes on a previously assigned role and, through logic, must find the murderer, who is one of the diners themselves. In addition, participants can come dressed in costume according to their respective roles.
You can play in one of the venues (includes game experience and themed menu) and also at home (includes game experience, but no menu).
