Rented a car for the first time in Spain from Sunday May 10th until May 17th.Renault Scenic spotless condition...collected at airport and quickly on our way. Malagacar kept their promise and returned our credit card deposit within two days as promised. When I mailed about this Alberto replied immediately with proof of the transaction. This is the first time I have used Malagacar upon reccomendation after having my credit card cloned by one of their compeditors not far away from Malagacar and found the service and vehicle very good (so good in fact I have today booked again for September) . Things were a little chaotic this morning as another customer had dumped a car in the entrance to the building and gone off with the keys ,but this was resolved quickly as the spare keys to the car were found, al in all 5 star service and vehicle

I have been a customer for several years and rent a vehicle 2 to 3 times a year. Furthermore, I recommend Malagacar to people who ask me for advice on renting a vehicle in Malaga. Only one of these people had a significant issue with the driver's door lock. Personally, during these years, I have only had minor issues of little importance to complain about. Of course, there is always something to criticize, no "check-in" when receiving the vehicle or when returning it, but I have never had a problem in this matter, even when receiving a vehicle with less than perfect bodywork. I have never been unpleasantly surprised with the half-tank fuel policy. In principle, a quick glance at the fuel gauge before departing should be enough to catch any potential oversight. Last year, I requested a car before the scheduled landing time for the specified flight, and it posed no problem; the car was available at the desired time. Overall, considering the good service/price ratio, I would give them a 9.5/10, but since I can't do that, I'll round up to the next whole number.

I have used malagacar.com for the past ten years or so and have always had quick, efficient,and competitively priced.The vehicles are well presented,clean and thoroughly reliable. I have recommended Malagacar to many friends and other travelers over the years and they have reported similar experiences as myself.

Cannot rate this company very high at present as I have been waiting 5 days to receive back my 800€ deposit. The car was returned on time and undamaged on Tuesday with the promise of an automatic refund of the deposit. It's now Saturday and I have emailed 4 times and am still waiting for my money. I think the refund should be made immediately the car is returned in just the same way as the money is taken instantly when the car is picked up, but this is clearly not so. 800€ is a lot of money and is effectively being lent for free to this company. If I don't get the refund soon I shall be contacting my credit card company.

Hello,



I come to Marbella 3 to 4 times a year (family / vacation / work), and I'm used to renting cars.



Based on various testimonials, I was lured by malagacar.com

Having invited my extended family to explore the region, we decided to take a Kangoo-type vehicle (with a large trunk). We indeed received a Kangoo-type vehicle (Fiat Dobló).

The car was really low quality and in bad condition: not even an outside temperature gauge or a remote control to open or close the doors :) Moreover, the trunk lock had been forced, scratches, etc.



To conclude, they charged 40.80 euros for fuel, which according to the guy, was supposed to correspond to half a tank of fuel. When we picked up the car, we had a range of 100 kilometers (not even the first quarter). The person who received the car confirmed that this sometimes happens, great!

Kind of like theft anyway.

Thank you for your words. You booked a Kangoo or Dobló and you received a Dobló. This car is not equipped with an outside temperature gauge, but it does have central locking (though not with remote control). The car is currently rented out and I have just called the client who confirmed that the car is in good condition for him.



Regarding the fuel, you paid 40.80 € for 30 liters, which is 1.29 € per liter. WE DO NOT CHARGE REFUELING SERVICE FEES.

Used this company for the first time last week. Excellent very speedy service both picking up and dropping off and good quality vehicles.
Be aware however that any damage deposit on your credit card is activated immediately which may mean costs for the both the withdrawal and return transactions. OK if your card does not charge for foreign use. Other than that a first class hire service
