This coastal town offers several options to enjoy the nightlife, whether it’s summer or winter, although it’s actually during the high season where a higher number of people gather here to go out partying. The population in Torremolinos increases considerably in July and August.
Amongst the options to enjoy the nightlife in Torremolinos, we can going out for a meal or some tapas and then go to a few pubs, discos and beach clubs along the Costa del Sol. Many years ago the lively area was Pueblo Blanco, situated right in the centre of Torremolinos, but now it has moved down to the seafront and in the centre is mainly where all the pubs and discos aimed to the gay community are located, such as the Nogalera area.
If you prefer British pubs, you can go to the square of the Independence, while the Spanish pubs are situated in square of the Costa del Sol.
There are plenty of gay pubs and discos in Torremolinos, but not only for the gay community, nowadays more and more people choose to go to these discos as the atmosphere is more relaxed, specially for the girls as it’s less common that they continuously get hit on.
In these gay discos there are equal conditions to get in, while in other discos in Malaga, girls tend to get preference and it’s rather common to see lads getting the entrance denied or being overcharged for a drink as most of the girls get the drinks for free.
It’s quite common that the youngsters in Malaga visit the Los Alamos and Playamar beaches from all over the province on weekends, but if you find yourself in Malaga province in summer check these places out any night of the week.
To get to the Torremolinos beach clubs, you can head down the San Miguel street if your hotel is situated in the centre of Torremolinos. Once you have reached the seafront, all you have to do is turn left and walk for a few minutes and you’ll start to hear the music and the atmosphere.
If you want to enjoy the nightlife and you prefer not to travel too far away, we recommend you look for an accommodation along the Torremolinos seafront, like any of the hotels in Playamar. It’s a much better idea to walk 5 minutes to your hotel, than having to take your car to go out to party...this way you won’t have to worry if you end up having a bit too much to drink.
