I’ve used Malagacar several times over the last two years and never had an issue. Always been a very helpful and reliable company. However, my last time using them (August) I was pulled over by police on my last day of holiday, who were not very happy at all. The police informed me I was driving a vehicle with no MOT, and issued me a fine. I spoke to a man (the manager) at the time who assured me I would be compensated as this had totally ruined my last day of holiday. Plus I had been driving a vehicle that is not legal or technically safe to use on the roads in Spain for over a week, god forbid there had been an accident ? I was told the owner ‘Alberto’ would respond to my emails when he was back from holiday a few days later. I have heard NOTHING from Alberto or the manager who stopped responding to my emails when they knew I had left Spain. Long story short - Malagacar hired me a vehicle that was not road legal, assured me of compensation, and then proceeded to totally ignore me and hope that this issue would just go away. I have spent lots of money with this company, and feel totally disrespected by the way they have handled THEIR mistake. I will proceed to chase them on the issue of compensation, as I was sold something that was not legal / fit for road use by law. Never had an issue before this, but the way they have handled (ignored) the issue is extremely offensive and rude. Would not recommend them after this, and would highly recommend anyone that hires here CHECKS THE CAR IS LEGAL AND HAS AN MOT.

Picked up the car at Malaga airport, even one class better free of charge. We set off quickly without any additional costs. Return just as uncomplicated and the shuttle bus was already waiting. 100% recommendable

Despite a small misunderstanding, complete satisfaction, helpful staff, unbeatable price, no deposit. If I go to this location, I will definitely rent a car from Malagacar

We use Malagacar.com about for 4 trips annually and have one of their cars for 5-6 months every year. We have used the company for the best part of 15yrs and I have only positive things to say... I am so comfortable with this company I take their excellent service for granted... so it is about time I offered a Review - here it is 5 STARS !!

Fantastic experience with this company. Used them on 27th September for 14 days hire. Great price and excellent quality of car. Will use again. Couldnt falt their service.

The car fiat 500 was okay, everything went good except of cigarette smell in the car. It was terrible. I almost vomited two times. The smell was really horrible. We told about that to the staff when we return the car, but he told us to write about that on the website. They havent replied for more than one month. It would be nice to get some discount, becauce the smell of the car was in absolutelly bad condition.

From the airport with the shuttle to the pick up of the car everything was very fast, the clio that had a small shock to the left rear, the employee advised us to photograph. The return of the car no problem, quick return, I am completely satisfied with malagacar, so I will use this company again.

We have used this company for many years, several times a year. They are very good. This time we left a bag with passport in the car when we returned and it was there waiting for us at the desk, when we went straight back, thank you. One thing we don’t like is that you don’t get dropped at departures anymore, which is a bit of a pain. But despite this would recommend to anyone

Excellent service once again. We used malagacar many times pre COVID and have recently used them again since. Returned car early and got a refund for days not used. Would highly recommend.

Horrible experience, scammers! They do not answer messages, it is not clear whether the reservation has been made or not. Despite the refusal of their services, the car was provided. The car NISSAN NOTE was in a terrible condition, beaten, dirty, the barrel for washing the windows was cracked, the liquid did not stay there. We paid them 170 euros on the spot and then they took a deposit of 100 euros. Naturally they do not answer the questions ‘why?’!
