Avoid car hire brokers! They are just intermediaries without a real fleet of cars, so they have to provide vehicles from third companies, raising your bill to get high commissions.
On the other hand, we always guarantee a first-class service, offering new cars and full insurance without hidden extras. In addition, you can book online and pay on arrival, without cancellation or amendment fees.
The new terminal T3 at Malaga airport was inaugurated in March 2010 and is located next to the old T2, with both terminals directly connected. Since the inauguration of the new terminal all European flights arrive and depart from it. The old T2 is relegated to those passengers who have destinations outside the European Union and some low-cost carriers. The main airlines are working now at the T3, in addition, travellers passing through the new terminal can enjoy a wide selection of shops, cafes and restaurants to spend time before their flights.
On September 10th, 2010 came into operation the new commuter train station at Malaga airport. Although the station is situated in the underground, it was conceived with the same design as the new terminal: spacious and flooded with natural light, glass and chrome are the main elements, providing natural light and fresh air. The suburban train station is entirely oriented to the new T3. It is part of the transportation hub at the Airport Plaza and thus the access to the T3 is easy and fast.
Furthermore, there are two new access roads from the highways, as well as a second runway for the high season.
Remember to check departures or arrivals information prior to taking your flight.
Here is a video of Malaga airport terminal 3 taken from the new runway.
Malaga Airport is located about 6km west of Malaga city, just off the main coast road (N-340) and the new toll road AP-7, which runs to Estepona. If you are leaving the airport by car, keep in mind that the left lane of N-340 leads to Malaga, Granada, Nerja and the eastern Costa del Sol; whereas the right lane leads to Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Marbella, Estepona and other cities in western Costa del Sol.
If you need a taxi at Malaga airport be aware of illegal taxi companies operating at the terminal. We recommend you to pre-book a transfer to know the final cost before traveling. Besides, one of our English speaking drivers will be waiting for you inside the terminal to help you with your luggage, no matter if your flight is delayed. That's why we always recommend booking private transfers in advance.

Remember that Fuengirola station is the last one, so if you want to reach Marbella from Malaga airport by train you will have to take a bus from Fuengirola to Marbella or a shuttle bus from Malaga airport to Marbella, which only takes 45 minutes.
