The cable car cabin has a capacity for up to 4 people. You can buy a return ticket or, if you prefer to explore the trails on the way down, you can buy a one-way ticket and enjoy a pleasant walk back. It is undoubtedly a recommended activity for the whole family and well worth the visit.
The Benalmadena Cable Car offers a variety of events and activities throughout the year:
A popular activity during the summer months, where you can enjoy stargazing with your family. The cable car remains open until 11:00 PM in July and August, offering a unique experience under the night sky. We recommend checking the official website for exact dates and recommended times.
The cable car organises daily exhibitions featuring a variety of birds of prey and exotic birds. These exhibitions are a unique opportunity to learn about local fauna and other fascinating bird species. Visitors can see free-flight demonstrations, where the birds show off their natural skills and hunting behaviours. Additionally, there are educational talks given by experts, providing interesting information about the biology, habitat, and conservation of these birds. Undoubtedly, an enriching and entertaining experience for all ages.
In addition to the previously mentioned hiking trails, the cable car offers guided hikes and themed routes that allow you to explore the local flora and fauna. These trails are ideal for nature lovers and those seeking a more immersive experience in nature.
This route offers two variants: the Calamorro variant and the Ermita variant. Both routes allow you to enjoy panoramic paths with impressive views of the Guadalhorce Valley and the coast of Africa. The Calamorro variant is shorter and easier, while the Ermita variant is longer and more challenging.
This circular trail covers a total distance of 5,150 metres and takes you through a Mediterranean mountain environment. You can walk or cycle, enjoying the local flora such as gorse, juniper and thyme. It is an excellent option for a relaxing stroll in nature.
One of the most popular and busy routes, the Cañada del Lobo offers spectacular views of Málaga, the Costa del Sol, and the Sierra Nevada. It is ideal for a morning walk to avoid the heat and enjoy the views without many people. The route is accessible to all and combines sections of cement, dirt, and forest track.
