El Bajondillo
Originally a district of fishermen. In the early 20th century it only had 60 neighbours who worked mainly in fishing.
El Calvario
A historic district in this municipality where there is a group of many houses with a population dedicated to the agriculture and cattle farming.
La Carihuela
Originally a district of fishermen where the name comes from, which means “hamlet of fishermen”. Mainly made up of small white 1-story houses situated opposite the sea, of which there are still a few remaining. It was the place where the first big hotel in Torremolinos was built, the "Pez Espada".
La Nogalera
It has an urbanisation with the same name built in 1963 and is one of the areas of the golden period in Torremolinos. Today, it hosts numerous pubs and discos that are mainly popular amongst the gay community.
Montemar
Situated between the Park of the Battery and La Carihuela. It’s a residential neighbourhood made up of villas and mansions from the forties to the sixties, built during the tourism boom of Torremolinos, and was the summer holiday home of many celebrities.
