Hiking Los Marines - Linares de la Sierra

This route showcases the natural beauty of the Sierra de Aracena Natural Park, a landscape of contrasts easily accessible from Seville via the A-66 and the N-433. After passing Aracena, you’ll find the turnoff to Los Marines. The route can start from either Aracena or Los Marines, each offering a unique starting point for your hike.

Los Marines

Located at 718 metres above sea level, Los Marines is a charming village that serves as a great starting point for your hike. The village itself offers a glimpse into traditional Andalusian life with its whitewashed houses and scenic surroundings. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the local streets and enjoy the serene atmosphere before setting off on your hike.

Linares de la Sierra

The village exudes charm and tranquility, making it a perfect place to pause and soak in the local ambiance. From here, the path continues towards Aracena, winding through typical Mediterranean forest and past old stone walls that demarcate areas of orchards.

Aracena

Aracena, located at 700 metres above sea level, is a highlight of the route. Aracena is also known for its local delicacies, such as Iberian ham, and the spectacular Gruta de las Maravillas, a series of limestone caves with breathtaking formations.
