Marbella is a large centre of leisure and fun, there’s fashion and a huge amount of shops. If you don’t fancy going to the beach and you prefer to do something else, a good option is to go shopping, a pleasure to disconnect doing something different, we can even finish off the day of shopping by watching a good film in English (OV) in the cinema if we decide to go to a shopping centre.
There are many shopping centres in Marbella, the most well-known one is probably La Cañada, with cinemas, tenpin bowling and plenty of shops to choose from. Along the seafront promenade we’ll find the ‘Plaza del Mar’ shopping centre, in Puerto Banus we’ll find one of the most well-known shopping centres in Marbella, Marina Banus, with a cinema that shows films in their original version.
La Cañada
One of the most popular places in Marbella, easily accessible and with a large parking area to park our car for free. It’s situated by the N-340 National motorway, and as well as a great amount of specialised shops (Adolfo Dominguez, Zara, etc..), it now has the biggest Apple store in Spain.
Plaza del Mar shopping centre

This shopping centre also has gyms, fitness, pilates,..if you want to keep in shape during your holiday you can do so in Plaza del Mar.
Marina Banus shopping centre

El Corte Ingles Costa Marbella
This shopping centre is situated just a few km. away from the city of Marbella, where you’ll find anything you’re looking for.
Shopping around the old quarter
If you’re searching for typical shops rather than massive shopping and leisure centres, then you may be interested in visiting the old quarter of the city, a perfect place to buy souvenirs, with a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of places to have something to eat or drink in the shade. Along the avenue that separates the old quarter from the seafront, we’ll find all sorts of shops...fashion stores, electronic gadgets, decoration, etc..
If you like the luxury, you have a bottomless wallet and you’re looking to spoil yourself, in Puerto Banus you’ll find the most select and the fashion stores of the world’s most famous designers.
Going shopping is a different way of discovering the city and its streets, places with history and glamour for all kinds of visitors.
