Jobs in Marbella, like in any other place on the Costa del Sol, is very oriented to to the hotel and catering industry. If you’re considering looking for work in Marbella, perhaps our tips can be quite useful:
Currently, there are so many companies of British and Dutch residents in Malaga, that even if you only speak English you have a good chance of finding a job, although it is recommendable to speak at least two languages to open up the options; in fact, ideally, as well as English and Spanish, it would be even better if we also spoke German.
The large hotels in Marbella tend to need more staff during the high season; if, on the other hand, you prefer the nightlife, you’ll also be able to find a job in one of the many clubs or pubs in Marbella and Puerto Banus, although it is usually temporal as the nightlife can provide great economic benefits compared to other jobs, but you must really like it.
There are a wide variety of clothes shops that also tend to increase their personnel during the high season, so it wouldn’t be a bad idea to walk around Puerto Banus and leave your CV in as many boutiques as you can, you may be lucky and receive a call for an interview.
The big supermarket chains and shopping centres in Marbella also tend to hire more in summer, so go for a walk around all of them and leave your CV there too.
