The golf course Los Flamingos belongs to the golf courses of the Golf Club Villa Padierna in Benahavis, just a few miles from Marbella.
This 18-hole par 71 course of 5,700 meters in length was designed by Antonio Garcia Garrido and opened in 2001. It is characterized by careful landscaping, with a lot of different tree species.
The five-star hotel Villa Padierna is located in the middle of 3 golf courses of 18 holes each with spectacular views over the Mediterranean Sea, lakes, rivers and mountains.
This hotel became internationally known in summer 2010 for the visit of Michelle Obama. Throughout the course, in its fairways and corners are situated Roman columns, classical statues, marble bridges, and a carefully selected native plants and olive trees, pines and cypresses.
Other fields are Alferini Golf with 18 holes and 6,600 meters long and with stunning views across the Costa del Sol, the Mediterranean Sea, Africa and Gibraltar. Alferini Golf is a challenge for any golfer and is one of the few par 73 on the coast. And finally Tramores, an 18-hole par 65, is a field to be enjoyed immediately, ideal for playing golf in a setting worthy of the dream of every golfer.

How to get there: Los Flamingos Golf and the Hotel Villa Padierna are situated near Cancelada, 20 minutes from Marbella city centre. From Malaga airport take the highway A-7 towards Algeciras. Follow the A-7 to San Pedro de Alcantara, Estepona-Algeciras (Exit 181 A) and continue on the A7 / N-340 passing by Puerto Banus and San Pedro de Alcantara. Pass the large white arch that says: "Marbella, San Pedro de Alcantara" and continue on the A7 / N-340. After approximately 4 km, take the exit at Km. 166 "Cancelada". Follow the signs to the Hotel Villa Padierna and FLAMINGOS GOLF COURSE.
