Guadalhorce Golf Club is situated in the district of Campanillas of the city of Malaga. Opened in 1989 and built on the grounds of Cortijo Colmenares, former residence of the Marquis de Larios from the 18th century.
Guadalhorce, with its 6194 meters, can be considered a long golf course, par 72. The course is designed by Kosti Kuronnen, with a European-style 9-hole and 2 other 9-holes with American design.
Guadalhorce Golf Club was born from the initiative of a group of friends and golfers who joined to get a Private Club. The project was carried out using a magnificent grounds north of the airport that had a typical eighteenth-century country mansion, which nowadays is the clubhouse. The family atmosphere is one of its main features.
This golf course has two distinct parts. The first, from the holes 1 to 9, is typical English "parkland" with unsophisticated vegetation and without lakes. The fairways have been adapted to the terrain with only 2 slopes. For the other 9-holes was moved earth to raise greens and diversify the greenways.
Suitable for major tournaments, the Guadalhorce is a pleasing field where can also enjoy player with high and medium handicap, who prefer to enjoy a day of golf in a perfectly well-kept environment. Given its tropical vegetation with abundance of palms, willows and yuccas, the land surrounding the club House has a distinct American flavour to it.
Guadalhorce Golf Club offers as well other services and sports activities: tennis and paddle courts, swimming pools, basketball court, soccer field, volleyball, sauna, game room, nursery and restaurant.

How to get there: Guadalhorce Club de Golf is located just 7 km from Malaga International Airport. Following the Mediterranean motorway (Algeciras - Motril), exit "Universidad", after about 4 km take exit "Campanillas".
