A recommended route starts at the reservoir of Quentar and goes to Tocon de Quentar, located at 1250 m. This tour runs along beautiful trails and plains that were once heavily mined during the Civil War and now, of course, have been removed.
The reservoir where we start the tour was built in 1976 and in its surroundings, we find vegetation of herbs such as rosemary, lavender, and thyme.
If we visit Quentar from Granada, the best option is to drive direction to Genil on the A-44 and follow the GR-420 road passing by Pinos Genil and finally getting to Quentar.
From Malaga we bypass the city of Granada in the north via the A-92 and take the exit of Beas de Granada that will take us directly to Quentar.
